About Brianna: Briana is 11 years old and in the 5th grade. At this time, her main symptom from the Chiari malformation is scoliosis. She does have a heart condition and doctors are now doing tests for other neurological and nerve disorders. Brianna's mom, aunt, and grandfather also have Chiari malformation. Her grandfather lives in another state and has had many difficulties from this disease throughout the years. Her mom has not had surgery and suffers daily from pressure headaches, dizziness, and many other symptoms that challenge the daily activities of people living with Chiari malformation.
