"Burt" lives in Dallas, Texas and has two children, one married with three children, the other is single. They all live within the Greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area, so they see each other frequently. He is a widower, having lost his wife of twenty-three years in 2001 as a result of a car accident.
Burt holds the Office of President of the holding company that owns income-producing real estate in Dallas, primarily. The company is a family owned corporation which originated in 1939 by his grandfather. Burt has held this position for twenty-six years, but worked his way through the ranks.
Burt has syringomyelia, which is inoperable at this time, as well as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which limits him physically. He can sympathize with many in the CSF family as he, too, suffers similarly but perhaps not as severely as others and looks forward to a cure for SM and CM.
